Preview Screening | Facing Suicide

Join PBS North Carolina for an exclusive preview screening of the new PBS film Facing Suicide. This film explores powerful stories of those impacted by suicide—one of America's most urgent health crises—and journeys to the front lines of research with scientists whose work is leading to better prevention and treatment.

Following the screening, Dr. Carrie Brown will lead a discussion with local experts. Dr. Brown is the Chief Medical Officer for Behavioral Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Audience participation is encouraged and you can ask the panelists questions either in person or online via the chat feature.

This event will have a virtual attendance option. You can join us online or in person at the PBS North Carolina studios in RTP.

Preview Screening | The U.S. and the Holocaust, a film by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick & Sarah Botstein

This special event begins with a preview screening of excerpts from The U.S. and the Holocaust, a new three-part documentary series exploring America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises in history.

Following the screening, PBS North Carolina’s interim CEO David Crabtree, will lead a discussion with local faith leaders, historians and others. You are invited to be part of the conversation by submitting your questions for the panelists in the virtual chat feature.

Join PBS North Carolina on the Rootle Roadster tour! We're visiting communities throughout North Carolina to offer free learning resources in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. 

At each stop, families can play and learn together with free hands-on activities, games, demonstrations with community partners, education resources, takeaways and more!
