UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina Goes All-In, In The Triangle!
North Carolina's statewide pubic media network connects with communities through our ongoing listening and engagement tour - Public Media North Carolina CARES (Connecting Audiences with Resources through Education and Service).
Building on successful visits to Hickory/Catawba County in March and New Bern/Craven County in September, Public Media North Carolina CARES plans more visits across the state. Next up is the Triangle!

The first thing that’s new and noteworthy from Rootle at the State Fair is our all-new Rootle Wonderland! Throughout the Fair, discover the arts—including literature (drama, poetry and prose), performing arts (dance, music and theatre) and visual arts (architecture, ceramics, drawing, painting, photography and sculpting) at this magical place of wonder and learning!

Get ready for Fair weather when Read-a-roo brings her Block Party from the screen to the street once again—this time at the 2018 North Carolina State Fair! Our favorite kangaroo celebrates her artistic side with this arts-themed shindig, and she'll have some special PBS KIDS characters celebrating along with her. This is an event you don't want you and your family to miss, so put it on your calendar and come have a blast with us!

Rootle launches another exciting, new attraction at the State Fair—Rootle’s Slide & Glide Sock Rink! Designed to create all the fun of an ice skating experience without the need for ice or skates! Just so you know, you don't have to be a pro. You only need to wear socks and you're ready to go (and we’ll be glad to outfit you with our exclusive Rootle socks for a small donation)! So show off your smooth skating moves on our exhilarating, new Sock Rink!
