Dr. Lisa Hampton
Durham
Dr. Lisa Hampton began her regulatory career at GlaxoSmithKline and later joined Salix Pharmaceuticals, where she assisted with several drug products that received FDA approval for gastroenterology indications. She is currently responsible for managing multiple projects for clients worldwide, and regulatory affairs operations for numerous applications. Dr. Hampton has held leadership positions in professional and community organizations including vice president of membership of NC Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF), secretary for American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), president of PTSA at the City of Medicine Academy (CMA) and co-chairman of the Health Promotion Committee and Nomination Committee for Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is passionate about community service, education and the needs of youth, mentoring high school at-risk youth and adult undergraduate college students and serving as a volunteer with Hillandale Golf Course H.E.A.R.T.S Club for patients at the Duke Children’s Hospital Pediatric and Marrow transplant unit.
Dr. Hampton earned her B.A. from Shaw University, an MHA from Pfeiffer University and a Doctor of Global Health Sciences from A.T. Still University. Additionally, she holds a post-graduate certificate in Clinical Research Management from Duke University School of Nursing, a Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC US) and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s License.
