UNC-TV PROGRAMS RECOGNIZED WITH 13 EMMY NOMINATIONS
Mid-South Regional Emmy Award Nominees Announced
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 11/22/2019—UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina earned 13 Midsouth Regional Emmy® Award nominations in ceremonies held in Nashville, TN, Thursday night. The winners of the Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards, recognizing excellence in television production, will be announced during the 34th Midsouth Regional Emmy® Awards Gala, Saturday, February 15, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.

ABOUT THE MIDSOUTH REGIONAL EMMY AWARDS
Materials broadcast, cablecast or webcast in the Midsouth Region, which encompasses the states of North Carolina (except Asheville) and Tennessee, plus northern Alabama, from July 1 to June 30, were eligible for entry. Nominations are announced during the week before Thanksgiving. Emmy® Awards are granted at a banquet and live telecast in Nashville In February.
Founded in 1957, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. NATAS membership consists of broadcast and media professionals in 19 regional chapters across the country.
