Jack Clayton

As chairman of the PBS North Carolina Board of Trustees, Jack Clayton holds an ex-officio position on the North Carolina Public Television Foundation Board of Directors. After over four decades with Wells Fargo, Clayton retired from his position as regional president managing over 175 branches. Today, Clayton is president of business strategy with TowneBank, and Triangle market leader with WFU Center for Private Business. Clayton’s past awards include the A.E. Finley Distinguished Service Award, and recognition as CEO of the Year by Triangle Business Journal. Clayton has served as chair of the WakeMed Board, Raleigh Chamber Board, Research Triangle Regional Partnership Board, and the NC Independent College Foundation Board. Clayton earned a B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University, an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a post-graduate degree at New York University. He also studied at UBS in Switzerland, Duke University and Harvard University.
