Robert D. Teer Jr.
Durham
As president and principal owner of Teer Associates, a commercial real estate development firm based in Research Triangle Park, Robert Teer’s career has focused on transportation and economic development in the United States and overseas. Teer has served on many civic, private and nonprofit boards, including the North Carolina Turnpike Authority, the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, PBS North Carolina's Board of Trustees, the SunTrust Bank Board for Eastern North Carolina and the USO (United Service Organization) of North Carolina. Teer served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 28 years before retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He graduated from the United States Army Command and General Staff College. Teer holds a bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and graduate certificates from the University of North Carolina and the University of Tennessee.
