UNC-TV PROGRAMS RECOGNIZED WITH NINE EMMY NOMINATIONS
Mid-South Regional Emmy Award Nominees Announced
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 12/2/2020—UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina earned nine Midsouth Regional Emmy® Award nominations during the nominations livestream last Friday night. The winners, recognized for excellence in television production, will be announced during the 35th Midsouth Regional Emmy® Awards in late February 2021.

ABOUT THE MIDSOUTH REGIONAL EMMY® AWARDS
Materials broadcast, cablecast or webcast in the Midsouth Region, which encompasses the states of North Carolina (except Asheville) and Tennessee, plus northern Alabama, from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 were eligible for entry. Nominations are announced during the week of Thanksgiving. Emmy® Awards are granted at a live event in Nashville in February.
Founded in 1957, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. NATAS membership consists of broadcast and media professionals in 19 regional chapters across the country.
