Meet the Education Staff

Timothy Wollenzien is the Education Services Manager at Prairie Public, a position he has held since July 2015. Previously he was Director of Cultural Events & Music Organizations at Concordia College, Camp Director of the International Music Camp Summer School of Fine Arts at the International Peace Garden, and a music educator for 22 years. Tim holds a B.A. in music from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Master’s and Ph.D. in music education from the University of Minnesota. He is enthusiastic about the value of public media and technology in education, and committed to building mutually beneficial partnerships.

Troy L. Jackson II is an Education Services Associate at Prairie Public, a position he has held since October 2021. Troy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, raised in Los Angeles, California, and received his B.A. in Criminal Justice and English from Moorhead State University Minnesota. He earned his M.A. in Performance Writing in Film, TV and Radio from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom. He's worked locally with at-risk youth at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, as a writer with High Plains Reader, and a teacher for Fargo Public Schools. An avid traveler, Troy has lived and worked in China, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Austria.

Nick Lero joined Prairie Public as an Education Services Associate in February 2023. Nick was born in Colombia and was raised in the Twin Cities. He graduated from NDSU with degrees in music and music education. He has worked as a pizza deliverer, a DJ, and as a substitute teacher. Outside of work Nick enjoys running, playing basketball, and playing the saxophone, piano, and guitar.

Johnathan Repoyo is an Education Services Early Childhood Specialist at Prairie Public, a position he has held since January 2022. Previously he was the Early Childhood Education Coordinator with a local childcare center and a private education consultant at Kids Korner. Johnathan holds a B.S. in Human Service with a minor in Child Development from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Johnathan was born in Grand Forks, ND, and raised in Fargo, ND. He believes that early childhood education is more than just “daycare," instead the crucial early stages to children’s continued learning.
