Join Prairie Public as we celebrate 60 years of telling the diverse stories, voices, and perspectives of the prairie region and beyond. Beginning with a single television transmitter in Fargo, Prairie Public has served as the region’s source for non-commercialized radio and television programming since 1964.
Wear your best ‘60s fashion and enjoy food, drinks, a silent auction, and our special keynote speaker Darley Newman from the public television show, “Travels with Darley.” After dinner, dance the night away to Fargo band Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome.

Keynote Speaker: Darley Newman
Recognized in Forbes and leading media, Darley Newman is an entrepreneur, TV host, writer and producer. Through her multi-media production company, she has channeled her passions for travel and storytelling into successful multi-platform series and distinctive media brands. She is the creator, producer and host of Emmy Award winning series “Travels with Darley,” “Look Up with Darley,” and “Equitrekking” on PBS, Amazon Prime, Samsung and networks in over 85 nations.
Since 2016, "Travels with Darley" has redefined the travel genre, earning accolades for its innovative approach to showcasing off-the-beaten-path destinations and immersive cultural experiences. As part of the ongoing 72 half hour episodes of “Travels with Darley,” Darley launched “Revolutionary Road Trips” in 2024, a sub-series combining history and travel. It takes viewers to sites related to the American Revolution to share untold stories. No stranger to experiential travel and out-of-the-box adventures, Darley spent several years horseback riding around the world for the world’s first equestrian travel series, Equitrekking, which she grew into a global success. She penned a book published by Chronicle Books about her journey riding with the Bedouin in the Middle East, cowboys in South America and Canada and across the USA from California to Georgia. It won “Best Travel Book” from the North American Travel Journalist Association.
With over 100 episodes spanning themes from historic sites and culinary delights to sustainability and cultural exploration, Darley invites audiences to embark on transformative journeys of discovery.
