Together, we celebrated, learned, and empowered each other in the pursuit of better health and wellness. A special THANK YOU to the 30+booths that participated at the Women's Health Fair this year and all of our incredible guests and speakers.
On March 7th South Florida PBS hosted a "Women of Impact" event in partnership with Women United of Palm Beach. It was an incredible tribute to the diverse and influential women shaping our community. With a Mariachi band and insightful discussions, it was a true celebration of empowerment and inspiration.
South Florida PBS wants to congratulate our esteemed speakers, Dr. Shannon Solis, Dr. Laurie George, and Dina Rubio, and moderator Carla Hill, host of Hope is Here for sharing their wisdom, expertise, and stories of resilience. We also want to commend our fearless leader, Dolores Fernandez Alonso who gave all the women a warm welcome for always empowering and providing us with opportunities learn, grow, thrive and create meaningful impact in the South Florida communities.
We had an incredible time celebrating the 12th season of our Emmy Award-winning program Art Loft at the Actors' Playhouse in Coral Gables on Tuesday, February 13th. The event opened with a pre-screening reception in the iconic lobby of Actors' Playhouse. Featured activations included food by CrepeMakers, a mural activation led by Vida Sofia of RawFigsPopUp, a photobooth, music by MiamiBloco, and the debut of South Florida PBS' original immersive VR art experience. This VR experience took guests through a 3D art museum where they learned about the life and work of Rafael Soriano and were then invited to create their very own 3D art.
After the screening, Art Loft producer Melissa Harmon led a talk-back with David Arisco, Artistic Director, at the Actors’ Playhouse, and suOm and Brian, co-founders of the musical collective MiamiBloco.

We had an amazing time celebrating the premiere of On the Town in The Palm Beaches - Fitness Adventures at Drive Shack West Palm Beach on Friday, February 9th! Guests enjoyed a night of golf, food, and drinks during the pre-screening reception and were the first to watch the latest episode of On the Town. ⛳

South Florida PBS was honored to collaborate with United Way of Palm Beach County and Women United for the January 11th Women in Philanthropy Symposium at the COX Science Center in West Palm Beach. Guests were truly inspired by a powerhouse panel of women, Chairman of the Board of the Palm Beach County Food Bank, Marti LaTour, former President of General Motors Foundation and Corporate Relations, Vivian Pickard, and ours truly, South Florida PBS President & CEO Dolores Fernandez Alonso. These panelists shared their uplifting stories and delved into the profound impact of philanthropy.

On Thursday, December 14th South Florida PBS celebrated the season 7 premiere of On the Town in The Palm Beaches at Mathew's Brewery in Lake Worth. In the premiere episode host Frank Licari showcases all the Palm Beaches most pet friendly spots! Frank visits restaurants, dog-friendly beaches, a dog resort, a pet friendly fashion show, and more.

On Friday, November 10th South Florida PBS celebrated the premiere of Film-maker Flip the Script at Savor Cinema in Ft. Lauderdale. In this series of short films, Broward high school juniors and seniors partnered with South Florida PBS to tackle community issues that are most important to them, and through the process, got the chance to discover how films can inspire meaningful conversations. The premiere was followed by a BBQ to honor veterans.

On Saturday, October 14th South Florida PBS' KidVision celebrated their interstitial series Full STEAM Ahead at COX Science Center's Fall Family Fun Fest! Guests were invited to participate in the "Colorful Carnations" and "Circle of Colors" science experiments featured in the series and meet KidVision host Miss Penny!

KidVision host Miss Penny led a fun presentation where students watched KidVision Music Time, KidVision Art Room, KidVision Dance Time and an episode of Alma's Way!
On Friday, September 29th, South Florida PBS celebrated KidVisionMusic Time at FROST School of Music!
The KidVision Music Time Party was an exciting event where children explored different genres of music in a lively atmosphere with KidVision host Miss Penny. University of Miami's music professor Dan Strange performed with his student ensemble and the event included a special performance by the student musicians of UM's Donna E. Shalala MusicReach program!
