Email share

The 45th season of WNMU-TV's High School Bowl premieres this Saturday at 8:30/7:30c, when Superior Central takes on North Central. Who will be this year's champions? Follow along this season to find out.

High School Bowl is WNMU-TV’s most popular local production. Since 1977, teams from area high schools have been going head-to-head in a battle of knowledge. Four-person teams answer questions about history, science, literature, geography, art, music, math, and more. Host Jim Koski challenges contestants from across the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan, and Northern Wisconsin to compete in the annual 37-game single-elimination tournament. The first and second place teams receive scholarships awarded by Northern Michigan University, as well as the prestige and bragging rights.

High School Bowl is funded by the The Donald & Audrey Anderson Foundation, 13 Upper Peninsula Credit Unions, Vincent & Nora Petrucelli, and in partnership with The Regional Educational Service Agencies & Intermediate School Districts of the Upper Peninsula.

High School Bowl airs locally Saturdays at 8/7c and Mondays at 3/2c on WNMU-TV PBS (13.1); and across the state of Michigan on Mondays at 1/12c and 8/7c on the Michigan Learning Channel (13.4). Full episodes are also available online and the PBS app. Visit the program's page for a broadcast schedule, past seasons, and more. Follow High School Bowl on Facebook to stay connected.
