High School Bowl Returns November 2!
An all new season of High School Bowl premieres this Saturday, November 2 at 8/7c. Gwinn plays Watersmeet while Ironwood takes on Rudyard.
High School Bowl is WNMU-TV’s most popular local production. Since 1977, teams from area high schools have been going head-to-head in a battle of knowledge. Four person teams answer questions about history, science, literature, geography, art, music, math, and many more subjects. Teams from across the Northern Michigan and Wisconsin compete in an annual single-elimination tournament with an 8-game “Play-in Round.”
Every year, Northern Michigan University awards $2,500 and $1,500 in scholarships to the first and second place teams, respectively. Additionally, one outstanding senior is awarded the Dave Goldsmith Scholarship––an additional $1,500 towards their college education.
High School Bowl is produced by Mike Lakenen and hosted by Jim Koski.
Saturdays at 8/7c on WNMU-TV PBS, repeating Mondays at 3/2c.
Also available STATEWIDE Sundays at 3/2c on the Michigan Learning Channel (broadcast channel 13.4 in our viewing area).
