PBS Reno Kids Club FAQ's

Q: What is PBS Reno Kids Club?

A: A membership benefit that connects families in the Reno-Tahoe-Carson City vicinity to their local PBS station through programs and educational resources. As a Kids Club member, you’ll receive exclusive benefits, including invitations to special events, fun activities for kids, and more!

Q: Who can join PBS Reno Kids Club?

A: Children 10 and under are welcome to join! Families living outside of the Reno-Tahoe-Carson City area are invited to enroll in the Kids Club but may not receive special event invitations. 

Q: What are some of the Reno-Tahoe-Carson City events for kids and their families? 

A: PBS Reno Kids Club hosts four special events, exclusive to Kids Club families. PBS Reno has partnered with local businesses such as Reno Ice, Andelin Farm, Tahoe Knight Monsters, Dragon Lights, National Automobile Museum, Virginia & Truckee Railroad Company for some of these member-only events. 

Q: I’m already a PBS Reno member — can I add my child? 

A: Current monthly sustainers may add a child or children to their account if they have a sustaining pledge of $5/month (1 child) or $10/month (2+ children). If you have made a one-time donation of $60 (1 child) or $120 (2+ children) this year, no additional donation is necessary. 

Q: What information do you need about my child and why? 

A: When enrolling a child, PBS Reno needs their full name, mailing address, and date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy). Their name and address are required to mail them welcome kits, birthday gifts, and event invitations. Their full date of birth is required because PBS Reno tries to pick birthday gifts that are appropriate for the child’s age. Nothing is more disappointing than an older child opening their birthday gift and receiving something meant for toddlers.  Since the Kids Club is open to children 10 years and younger, when a child turns 11, we unfortunately bid them farewell from the Kids Club.
