PBS Reno Hires Education Project Manager
RENO, NV (AUG 19, 2026) – PBS Reno has hired Jamie Tierney for the role of Education Project Manager. Tierney started her new role on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Tierney will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, staffing and follow-up of all projects involving PBS Reno Education department. Additionally, she will be working extensively on the annual PBS Reno Writers Contest, conducting tours, and taking guests to Curiosity Classroom workshops.
“I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity to join PBS Reno and the PBS Reno Education team as the Education Project Manager,” said Tierney. “The entire staff has been so welcoming and genuine. I am honored to be joining a station and team that is so dedicated to community service and to providing needed academic supports to our students and teachers.”
Tierney comes from a family of educators along with her own teaching experience across elementary and middle school grades, bringing more than 15 years of experience supporting students, families, and educators within the Washoe County School District. With an extensive background in Special Education, classroom instruction and student behavior support, Tierney provides knowledge of administrative support, public service, customer relations, and leadership.

Her elementary and middle school teaching experience, along with her passion for family engagement and learning, will help us expand our impact across northern Nevada and beyond.”
