Alex Diaz - Host, Latin Jazz

Alex Diaz has been cracking the Orlando microphone since the mid-90s when he relocated to the area to complete his degree at the University of Central Florida. Alex was born in the United States, and comes from a family that left Cuba pre-Castro. He holds memories of stories of Havana shared by his mother and extended family.

When Alex is not entertaining you on WUCF 89.9 FM Latin Jazz he is very active and visible in our community supporting many charitable organizations such as the BBQ Blowout, Taste of Oviedo, and Great Day in the Country!

Latin Jazz artists Alex enjoys are -- Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, and the Cuban collaborative group: Buena Vista Social Club.

Alex and his wife, Dawn live in Oviedo and love all that Central Florida has to offer.
