Our Family & Community Learning workshops feature multi-generational hands-on family engagement designed to support science and literacy development among children and families. These workshops, featuring some of our beloved PBS KIDS characters, are held once a week, for four weeks with an average of ten families.

Here at IdahoPTV, we understand that children do not come with instructions. Parenting can be equally rewarding and challenging. In order to support families and caregivers, our Family Education Specialist offers sessions on a variety of topics from getting ready for school to parental addiction. Bright by Text is a free program for parents and caregivers that sends tips and resources promoting child development, from prenatal to 8 years old, right to their cell phone. Receive both local and national messages that include information on local family events, language and literacy, developmental milestones, and caregiver resilience– just to name a few.
