Broadcast Production Specialist II
The Opportunity:
WUCF is seeking a talented Broadcast Production Specialist II to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our award-winning signature program, Florida Road Trip, and to shape the future of our content through multimedia journalism.
Responsibilities:
Content Development:
Research and propose story ideas that align with WUCF's content strategies and goals.
Write and edit scripts for various content formats, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Collaborating with the program Executive Producer to research stories, write scripts, travel as a videographer (or Multimedia Journalist), and help shape high-quality editorial content for WUCF's signature program, Florida Road Trip, across platforms.
Production:
Operate camera and lighting equipment for field productions.
Support the production team in various roles as needed, including studio and field production.
Post-Production:
Edit content for broadcast and digital platforms.
Ensure the highest quality standards and adherence to WUCF's style guidelines.
Technical Proficiency:
Understand and continuously develop skills in using WUCF's television equipment.
Stay updated on industry trends and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and workflow.
Strategic Contributions:
Collaborate with the Managing Producer to develop new programs and services that support WUCF's mission and vision.
Propose department objectives and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Click here formore information
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a producer in the broadcasting or media industry.
Demonstrated proficiency in field videography, including camera operation and lighting techniques.
In-depth knowledge of Adobe software systems.
Previous experience in creating engaging digital content for various platforms.
