Bright By Text
Because kids don't come with instructions. Bright by Text is a bilingual, nationwide text messaging service. We empower parents/caregivers with information to build nurturing care-giver child relationships, promote a child’s healthy development and improve school readiness.
Through free tips, information, games and resources, Bright by Text is proven to build nurturing caregiver-child relationships, promote a child’s healthy development, and improve school readiness. Our bite-size and developmentally targeted content comes from research-based curriculum curated from resources such as Vroom and PBS, right to a caregiver’s cell phone.
With our community partners, we also push out local messaging based upon a child’s date of birth, zip code and language preference. Our goals are focused on building parental confidence, competence and change caregiver behaviors to improve a child’s cognition. We are focused on whole child and whole family outcomes.

IdahoPTV has teamed up with Bright by Text to send free activities, games, and resources right to your cell phone. Messages are targeted to your child’s age and include information on child development, language and early literacy, health and safety, behavioral tips, and more.
This program, already offered in other communities around the nation, offers parents and caregivers expert tips and resources for children up to the age of eight. Interactions a child has with adult caregivers at this stage of their life set the foundation for future learning, behavior, and health. Bright by Text shares fun and easy activity ideas, positive parenting tips and resources, and information about the child’s physical development.
To sign up, simply text the word IDAHOFAMILY to 274448. You will receive 3 to 5 short text messages per week, and each message provides a link for more information.
