History Meets Mystery

October 21 2026

Democratic incumbent Gov. JB Pritzker and Republican challenger Darren Bailey faced off in a live forum on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at WTTW studios in Chicago. The candidates discussed the ideas and priorities they'd bring to the office. The forum was moderated by Brandis Friedman with several questions representing Central Illinois posed by WTVP’s Mark Welp.

WTVP will broadcast the recording of the hour-long forum on Thursday, October 15 at 9 p.m. The forum is also available to stream anytime on the PBS Video App (search for WTTW News Governor Candidate Forum) or at https://wtvp.tv/il-gov.
