South Dakota Public Broadcasting is South Dakota's statewide public broadcasting network.

SDPB is a vital community resource producing and broadcasting high-quality, commercial-free programs and valuable community outreach projects that educate, enlighten and entertain.

SDPB Television airs on KUSD Channel 2, Vermillion; KESD Channel 8, Brookings; KZSD Channel 8, Martin-Long Valley; KBHE Channel 9, Rapid City; KTSD Channel 10, Pierre; KQSD Channel 11, Lowry; KPSD Channel 13, Faith-Eagle Butte; KDSD Channel 16, Aberdeen; and KCSD Channel 23, Sioux Falls. SDPB broadcasts more than 150 hours of local programming each year and over 65 hours of educational children's programming every week.

SDPB Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, with 40 hours a week of local programming.

Besides archiving locally produced SDPB Television and Radio programs, SDPB.org also offers full coverage of the South Dakota State Legislature and all South Dakota High School Activities Association sanctioned tournaments. It also houses many of SDPB Education & Outreach's educational resources. Millions of users log on to SDPB.org every year.

SDPB’s education & outreach efforts enhance and expand the learning experiences available every day on Television, Radio, and Online. Our Education Department provides classroom resources for teachers, workshops for educational institutions, information for home-schoolers, parents, and child-care providers, and local educational television programs, as well as conducting other outreach projects for all of the citizens of South Dakota.

Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting is a 501 (c)(3) organization which supports SDPB's mission of lifelong learning through fundraising and advocacy. By using a variety of funding sources, including underwriting, grants and direct appeals to viewers, listeners and other shareholders, Friends of SDPB pays for programming and program-related services for the network.
