Producer - Florida Road Trip

WUCF seeks applicants for a Producer to join their team. This position is an opportunity to contribute to the creation of content for WUCF's most popular local program, Florida Road Trip. Working with the program Executive Producer, this position will help shape the look and feel of the program through a producer's attention to research, detail, and curiosity, as well as videographer's eye for composition and lighting.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot and edit on WUCF provided equipment.
• Research and pitch stories that align with content strategies and goals.
• Writes and edits scripts under deadline.
• Video edit content for broadcast and digital.
• Support production in the studio and the field.
• Collaborates with the team to create new programs and services to help further the WUCF mission and vision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Production experience in an internship or professional setting, including recording and editing.
• Experience with research and writing for film or television production.
• Familiarity with Adobe software systems.
• Experience in creating engaging digital content for various platforms.
• Experience conducting or assisting with research at the college level.

• This position will include some travel, including overnights and multiple days.

WUCF offers college students the opportunity to gain real life experience in a major market media station through hands-on internship opportunities in television and radio production, promotions, social media, and business operations. 

University of Central Florida students are invited to join the WUCF Practicum class. Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of the departments at WUCF and how they operate together.
