Idaho Public Television (IdahoPTV) is a statewide, non-commercial broadcast telecommunication system and media provider based in the capital city of Boise with additional staffed facilities in Moscow and Pocatello.

Our Locations

3-25-2020: Until further notice all visitors must have an appointment to enter the KAID/KIPT studio and office facilities.

Southwestern Idaho - KAID/KIPT

Southwest and central Idaho, Twin Falls, and the Wood River Valley. Transmitters are located in Boise (KAID) and Twin Falls (KIPT).

Eastern Idaho - KISU

Eastern Idaho, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and vicinities. KISU transmitters are located on East Butte, near Pocatello. KISU was originally established as KBGL television in 1971.

KISU studio and office facilities are located in the Kegel Liberal Arts Building on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.

Northern Idaho - KUID/KCDT

Northern Idaho transmitters are located in Moscow (KUID) and Coeur d'Alene (KCDT).

KUID/KCDT studio and office facilities are located in the Radio/TV Center on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, Idaho.

Executive Staff

Idaho State Board of Education

IdahoPTV is an entity of the Idaho State Board of Education, which holds in the public trust television and related broadcast telecommunication licenses issued and governed by the Federal Communications Commission. The State Board of Education holds open meetings. For dates and times, visit the State Board of Education website.

The State Board of Education members are: Debbie Critchfield, President; David Hill, Vice-President; Andrew Scoggin, Secretary; Emma Atchley; Linda Clark; Shawn Keough; Kurt Liebich; and Sherri Ybarra, Superintendent of Public Instruction. Matt Freeman is the executive director of the Idaho State Board of Education.

Idaho Public Television’s production team has won hundreds of national and regional awards, including regional Emmys, CINE Golden Eagles, Telly Awards, New York Festival awards, Society of Professional Journalists awards, Worldfest Awards, and a Peabody.
