Milwaukee PBS is southeastern Wisconsin's premier non-commerical media organization. Milwaukee PBS consists of two high-definition television stations, WMVS and WMVT, and four additional digital television services. The Milwaukee PBS stations are the area's only over-the-air source for PBS and other national public television programs, and also offer a diverse schedule of their own award-winning local series and specials.

Milwaukee PBS educates, informs, entertains and stimulates the imagination of adults and children alike. We make the best use of noncommercial media and related services to enhance the quality of life in our community by encouraging people to consider issues and explore ideas, and by inspiring a continued sense of wonderment.

WMVS and WMVT are licensed to the Milwaukee Area Technical College District Board, and the stations' studios and offices are located on MATC's downtown campus. Station performance is discussed monthly by the Public Television Committee of the MATC Board in meetings that are open to the public.

Each year, approximately 60 MATC students from the Associate of Applied Science Degree program in Television and Video Production gain real-life industry experience working alongside Milwaukee PBS' professional staff. Check out their student productions under the tab at the top of the website.

Milwaukee PBS' award-winning programs provide a platform for the African-American and Latino communities, offer local political opinions a place for expression, and allow viewers the ability to experience the arts.

Our local productions give the world a chance to 'visit' our different cities and enjoy the great outdoor treasures to be found in Wisconsin.

Locally produced specials and documentaries (Making of Milwaukee, Behind the Pearl Earrings: The story of Dickey Chappelle) have set us apart from other broadcast stations.

Milwaukee PBS provides viewers the chance to attend community events and concerts as well as many wonderful travel destinations.
