EVERYONE WHO LIKES CHRISTMAS, SAY 'I DO!'

Watch The Muppets and Santino Fontana sing “Everyone Who Likes Christmas, Say ‘I Do!’”

ABOUT 'EVERYONE WHO LIKES CHRISTMAS, SAY 'I DO!''

Music & Text: Patricia Metten
Original Arrangement: Maxine Cameron
Arrangement: R. Ross Boothe

In 1968, two Utah moms, Patricia Metten and Maxine Cameron, co-wrote a children's song for a Christmas celebration at Brigham Young University. With its catchy tune and easy lyrics, “Everyone Who Likes Christmas, Say ‘I Do!’” quickly became a favorite, repeated on BYU holiday programs for years after. Cookie Monster sees that being thoughtful, generous, and considerate of friends and family might possibly be even more important than Christmas cookies.

“Everyone Who Likes Christmas, Say ‘I Do!’” is performed here by Santino Fontana, accompanied by the Muppets from “Sesame Street”, and the Tabernacle Orchestra at Temple Square.

LYRICS

Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"  "I do!"  "I do!"
Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"  "I do!"  "I do!"
If you have the Christmas spirit,
let everybody hear it.
Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"

Everyone who likes giving gifts, say
"I."  "I."   "I."   "I."
Everyone who likes giving gifts, say
"I."  "I."   "I."   "I."
Well, if you want to show it,
and let the whole world know it,
Everyone who likes giving gifts, say
"I."  "I."

Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"
Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"
If you have the Christmas spirit,
let everybody hear it.
Everyone who likes Christmas, say
"I do!"  "I do!"
